Degree of a Continuous Mapping

Topology

In topology, the degree, or Brouwer degree, of a continuous mapping between two compact oriented manifolds of the same dimension is a number representing how many times the domain manifold wraps around the range manifold under the mapping. The degree is always an integer, and it may be positive or negative depending on the orientations involved. Is Kind Of Object

Entity-backed identity for the object-kind enum value this mathematical object already carries, resolved to a mathematics concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The object-kind fact itself stays on the object unchanged.
