Richard Jozsa, born on 13 November 1953, is an Australian mathematician who holds the Leigh Trapnell Chair in Quantum Physics at the University of Cambridge. He is a fellow of King's College, Cambridge, where his research investigates quantum information science. He is described as a pioneer of his field, and he is the co-author of the Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm, one of the first quantum algorithms shown to be exponentially faster than any deterministic classical algorithm, and one of the co-inventors of quantum teleportation. His name is joined with that of David Deutsch in the algorithm proposed in 1992.
