Guido Fubini (19 January 1879 to 6 June 1943) was an Italian mathematician, known for Fubini's theorem and the Fubini-Study metric. Born in Venice and steered toward mathematics by his teachers and by his father, who was himself a teacher of mathematics, he entered the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa in 1896, where he studied differential geometry, and wrote a 1900 doctoral thesis on Clifford's parallelism in elliptic spaces. He taught at the University of Catania, the University of Genoa, and then the Politecnico and the University of Turin, and his research focused primarily on mathematical analysis, especially differential equations, functional analysis and complex analysis.

The theorem is named after Guido Fubini, who proved a general result in 1907; special cases were known earlier through results such as Cavalieri's principle, which was used by Leonhard Euler.
