The Heckscher-Ohlin theorem is one of the central results of the Heckscher-Ohlin model of international trade, developed by the economists Eli Heckscher and Bertil Ohlin. In its two factor, two good form it states that a country will export the good whose production is intensive in the factor of production the country holds in relative abundance, and import the good intensive in its relatively scarce factor.
