In statistics and probability, quantiles are cut points that divide the range of a probability distribution, or a sample of observations, into continuous intervals with equal probabilities. Common named quantiles include quartiles, which split data into four groups, deciles, which split it into ten, and percentiles, which split it into a hundred. Quantiles are a standard tool for summarizing where a value falls relative to the rest of a distribution. Is Kind Of Object
Entity-backed identity for the object-kind enum value this mathematical object already carries, resolved to a mathematics concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The object-kind fact itself stays on the object unchanged.
