Spearman's Rank Correlation Coefficient

Probability and Statistics

In statistics, this coefficient is a number ranging from minus one to one that measures how strongly the ranks of two variables are correlated, rather than their raw values. It is used whenever the ordering of data matters more than exact measurements, for example testing whether people who rank highly in one skill also tend to rank highly in a related one. A value of one or minus one signals a perfect monotonic relationship between the two rankings, while zero signals no consistent association. Entity-backed identity for the object-kind enum value this mathematical object already carries, resolved to a mathematics concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The object-kind fact itself stays on the object unchanged.
