Chapman-Kolmogorov equation

Probability and Statistics

In the theory of Markovian stochastic processes within probability theory, the Chapman-Kolmogorov equation is an identity relating the joint probability distributions of different sets of coordinates on a stochastic process. It was derived independently by the British mathematician Sydney Chapman and the Russian mathematician Andrey Kolmogorov, and it is used prominently in modern variational Bayesian methods. Functions, Concepts

Entity-backed identity for the object-kind enum value this mathematical object already carries, resolved to a mathematics concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The object-kind fact itself stays on the object unchanged.
