Algebra

A system of equations, also called a set of simultaneous equations or an equation system, is a finite collection of equations for which common solutions are sought. Such a system is usually classified the same way single equations are, for example as a system of linear equations, a system of nonlinear equations, a system of bilinear equations, a system of polynomial equations, a system of differential equations, or a system of difference equations.
