Carlo Severini (10 March 1872 to 11 May 1951) was an Italian mathematician, born in Arcevia in the Province of Ancona, who died in Pesaro. Independently of Dmitri Fyodorovich Egorov, he proved and published earlier a proof of the theorem now known as Egorov's theorem. He graduated in mathematics from the University of Bologna in 1897 and worked there as an assistant to Salvatore Pincherle until 1900, taught in senior high schools until 1906, and then became full professor of infinitesimal calculus at the University of Catania. In 1918 he moved to the University of Genova, where he stayed until his retirement in 1942.
