Hao Huang is a Chinese mathematician known for solving the sensitivity conjecture, and an associate professor in the mathematics department at the National University of Singapore. He received a B.S. degree in mathematics from Peking University in 2007 and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2012, with a dissertation on extremal combinatorics advised by Benny Sudakov. He did postdoctoral research at the Institute for Advanced Study and at DIMACS at Rutgers University, then spent a year at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications at the University of Minnesota, and was an assistant professor at Emory University from 2015 to 2021. In July 2019 he announced a proof of the sensitivity conjecture, which had been open for nearly 30 years after Noam Nisan and Mario Szegedy posed it in 1992.
