The Davenport-Schmidt theorem, named for Harold Davenport and Wolfgang M. Schmidt, is a result in the number-theory area of Diophantine approximation. It describes how well a certain kind of real number can be approximated by another kind, showing that irrational numbers which are not themselves quadratic can be well approximated using either quadratic irrationals or simple rational numbers. Has Statement Form
Entity-backed identity for the statement-form enum value this theorem already carries, resolved to a mathematics concept by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The statement-form fact itself stays on the theorem unchanged.
